Celebrando 20 años del Observatorio del Paisaje de Cataluña

Querido Pere,

Desde nuestra querida América Latina, nos emocionó profundamente ver la hermosa celebración de los 20 años del Observatorio del Paisaje en el Palacio de la Generalitat de Cataluña. Fue un acto cargado de simbolismo, sensibilidad y justo reconocimiento a una institución que ha marcado un antes y un después en la manera de pensar, sentir y gestionar el paisaje.

Desde este colectivo latinoamericano queremos enviarte un abrazo cálido y nuestras más sinceras felicitaciones por tu liderazgo innovador, sabio y constante al frente del Observatorio. Gracias por sostener y proyectar una visión colectiva que nos hermana a través del paisaje.

También queremos rendir homenaje a Joan Nogué, cofundador de este sueño, cuya huella sigue viva en cada línea de pensamiento, en cada proyecto, en cada gesto del Observatorio. Ustedes dos —auténticos Quijotes del paisaje— han defendido, con pasión, rigor y amor, la belleza, el sentido y la dignidad de los territorios y de quienes los habitan.

Para nosotros, el Observatorio del Paisaje de Cataluña no solo es una referencia intelectual y técnica, sino también un faro ético y humano que ha inspirado procesos similares en América Latina, acompañando con generosidad nuestras búsquedas, luchas y aprendizajes.

Nos honra profundamente haber estado presentes, aunque fuera de manera virtual, en este emotivo homenaje. Sentimos que ese momento también celebraba los lazos que nos unen: la complicidad transoceánica que hemos tejido a través del lenguaje del paisaje.

Celebrating 20 Years of the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia

From our beloved Latin America, we were deeply moved to witness the beautiful celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Landscape Observatory held at the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya. It was an event filled with symbolism, sensitivity, and well-deserved recognition for an institution that has marked a turning point in the way we think about, feel, and manage the landscape.

From this Latin American collective, we send you a warm embrace and our heartfelt congratulations for your wise, innovative, and steadfast leadership at the helm of the Observatory. Thank you for upholding and projecting a collective vision that connects and unites us through the landscape.

We also wish to pay tribute to Joan Nogué, co-founder of this dream, whose presence is still felt in every line of thought, every project, and every gesture of the Observatory. The two of you — true Quixotes of the landscape — have defended, with passion, rigor, and love, the beauty, meaning, and dignity of territories and those who inhabit them.

To us, the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia is not only an intellectual and technical reference point, but also an ethical and human beacon that has inspired similar processes across Latin America, generously accompanying our own searches, struggles, and learnings.

We were deeply honored to be present — even if virtually — for this emotional tribute. We felt that the moment also celebrated the bonds that unite us: the transoceanic kinship we have woven through the shared language of landscape.

Thank you, dear Pere, for everything.
